It is reported that, on the night of the
first day of Rajab 633 A.H. the Saint
retired to his cell after reciting lsha
Prayer, leaving instructions that he should
not be disturbed. His devotees and Khadims
did likewise but heard a peculier sound,
something like 'Wajd' (Ecstasy). When the
door did not open as usual on the 6th
morning His chief Khalifa Khwaja Qutubuddin
Bakhtiyar-e-Kaki (R.A) and other derveshes
broken the door of Hazrat-Khwaja Baba's (R.A.)
Hujra Mubarak (Cell) and were astonished to
found that the Great Sufi Saint had expired.
They perceived some radiant letters in
Arabic on his forehead:
"HAJA HABIBULLAH, WA MATA FI HUBBILLAH"
(He is God's beloved and he depart in the
love of God)
As he was found no more, on the 6th Rajab in
His Hujra Mubarak (prayer room), which had
not been opened for six days, it cannot be
definitely said on which of the six days he
had passed away. Hence the Urs Anniversary
of his death takes place from the first to
the sixth Rajab (Islamic month) every year.
