In this letter to Khwaja Qutubuddin (R.A.)
of Delhi, the Great Khwaja Moinuddin Hassan
Chishty (R.A.) underlines the importance of
renunciation of worldly and eternal
pleasures for understanding the significance
of God. The sign of a person who is
possessed of the knowledge of God is
renunciation. No one but those who possess
the knowledge of God are to be allowed into
the mysteries and love of God. Kalimahe
Shahadat and Laa Ilaha Illullah both embody
a denial and an affirmation as the man’s of
acquiring divine knowledge. He, who has
acquired knowledge of God, has attained the
stage of faith in the existence of God,
which is achieved by the recitation of Laa
Ilaha Illullah and Kalimah-e-Shahadat.
