28. THE GREAT GARIB NAWAJ (R.A.) IS THE FOUNTAIN HEAD OF CHISHTIYA ORDER (SILSILA) IN THIS SUB-CONTINENT

In Islamic religion, there are many Tariqah, system, method or Fraternity which flows down/ is transmitted, from soul to soul through successive, generations of PEER or MURSHIDS (SPIRITUAL GUIDES & TEACHERS) to those of the present age. Such as:

1. TARIOAH-I-CHISHTIA

2. T ARIQAH-I-QUADERIA

3. TARIQAH-I-SOHRAWARDIA

4. T ARIQAH-I-NAQSH BAN DIAH

These four prominent systems or fraternities of SUFISM TARIQAH are in force in India. Amongst the mentioned four CHISHTIYA SILSILA or TARIQAH is much more popular and prominent of which HAZRAT KHWAJA MOINUDDIN CHISHTY Radi Allaho Ta’ala Anho is the Chief of this order. He introduced this system in greater India and through time it has flourished far and wide.

The first three of the main Tariqah’s have been branched off from Hazrat Ali Karam Allaho Wajho and the fourth from Hazrat Abu Baker Siddiq Radi Allaho Anho. Though there are some other systems prevalent in Arabia, Egypt, Africa, Asia Minor, Central Asia and other countries of the, world.

Besides these Silsilas a few are also countable in this chapter. But are out of practice and followed in other parts of the world.

These are especially.

1.       TARIQAH-I-SHAZLIYAH

2.       TARIQAH-I-USMANIYAH

3.       TARIQAH--I-ULAWWIYAH

4.       TARIQAH-I-MURGHANIYAH and Others.

Tariqah Mujaddadiah is regarded as a branch of Naqsh Bandiyah.

These SILSILAS (Orders or Fraternities) differ from each other in their devotional practices and ascetics discipline but they agree in the fundamentals of religion.
