This gate is said to be latest, also called
Sadar Gate. The front looking gate is the
most beautiful and unique in construction.
This is the main entrance of the Dargah
Sharif and was constructed by the Nizam of
Hyderabad Decan at a cost of Rs. 55, 857
(Fifty five thousand eight hundred fifty
seven rupees).
The big drums kept there presented by
Emperor Akbar as war trophies. They were
captured in the war against Daud Khan Sultan
of Bengal. These (gifted) drums are beaten
to the accompaniment of tunes played on
nafris and shahnai (pipe organs) at certain
fixed hours every day by hereditary
musicians. This system was introduced by
King Akbar. Occasional warm receptions are
accorded from here to V.I.Ps and Premiers as
well as State Guests who ever visit the
Shrine of the Holy Saint to pay homage.
