This second gate was constructed by Emperor
Shah Johan in the year 1638 A.D. and is also
known as Naqqar Khana (Drum House) where
drums presented by the Mughal Kings are
placed and regularly beaten after every
namaz (prayer) according to age-long custom.
On the front arch the Kalma-e-Tawheed is
written along with some Persian couplets.
