29. BUILDINGS AT DARGAH SHARIF

29.16. THE FOUR COMPANIONS

The ‘Char Yaar’ (Four Friends) is an enclosure containing a number of small tombs, some of which are of marble, and is so called from the fact that the remains of the four companions of the Great Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty (R.A), who are said to have come with Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A) from Afghanistan to Ajmer Sharif, lie buried in this enclosure.

The most important point is that it also contains tombs of the ancestors of Mutawallis and Khadims of the Great Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz R.A.A. (peace to his soul). Even, today the most prominent figures from the Khadim community are laid to rest their.
