The ‘Char Yaar’ (Four Friends) is an
enclosure containing a number of small
tombs, some of which are of marble, and is
so called from the fact that the remains of
the four companions of the Great Hazrat
Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty (R.A), who are said
to have come with Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz
(R.A) from Afghanistan to Ajmer Sharif, lie
buried in this enclosure.
The most important point is that it also
contains tombs of the ancestors of
Mutawallis and Khadims of the Great Hazrat
Khwaja Gharib Nawaz R.A.A. (peace to his
soul). Even, today the most prominent
figures from the Khadim community are laid
to rest their.
The four companions of the Great Hazrat
Khwaja Moinuddin Hassan Chishty R.A.A.
(peace to his soul) who accompanied him
settled down at Ajmer, died at Ajmer and lie
buried in this enclosure are as follows:
1. Hazrat Imamuddin Bin Najmuddin Damishqi
R.A. (peace to his soul) who died on 17th
Rabiul Awal-575 Hijri.
2. Hazrat Shah Nayaz-u-ulla Bin Shafique
Ahmed Khorasani who died on 13th Shaban 575
Hijri.
3. Hazard Imam Ahmed Shahab Koofvi and the
last one.
4. Hazrat Dood-u-ddin resident of Taif
Sharif died in 605 Hijri and also lies
buried in the enclosure of Char Yar west of
Rowza Mubarak of the Great Khwaja Gharib
Nawaz (R.A) Ajmer Sharif.
